Our History

Founding Story

Built on Service. Grown Through Relationships.

The Noles Group was founded on a simple but uncommon belief: financial advice should feel personal, dependable, and rooted in long-term relationships — not transactions.

After more than three decades in the financial industry, including time spent in the U.S. Army as an officer, Danny Noles saw firsthand how many investors felt overlooked, underserved, or treated like account numbers.

Communication was often inconsistent. Planning was reactive instead of proactive. And too many families lacked a clear roadmap for retirement, income, and legacy.

In 2016, Danny made the decision to leave the corporate environment and establish an independent firm built around a different philosophy.

He didn’t want to create just another advisory office.
He wanted to build a financial home.

From the beginning, The Noles Group committed to two promises:

  1. A Personal Relationship
  2. The Highest Level of Service Possible

Every client receives direct access to their advisor. No help desk. No offshore service center. No gatekeeping. When clients call, they reach someone who knows their name, their story, and their goals.

Over time, clients began describing the firm in words that matter most:

“Like family.”
“A place I trust.”
“My financial home.”

The firm’s mission became clear: to provide structured, education based retirement and wealth planning while building relationships that extend beyond accounts into families, generations, and life’s most important moments.

The Noles Group does not view retirement planning as a numbers exercise alone. It is about income security, asset preservation, tax strategy, Medicare planning, and legacy protection, delivered through personal connection and consistent communication.

In a profession where many firms focus on minimum account sizes, The Noles Group chose a different path. The firm works with everyday families who are willing to engage in the planning process, whether they have $1,000 or $100 million, and each client is treated with the same level of care and attention.

Growth & Evolution

From Advisory Practice to Multi-Generational Firm

As relationships deepened, the firm naturally expanded.

What began as Danny’s independent advisory practice grew into a collaborative family-led firm, with the next generation — Parker, Tyler, and Chandler — taking leadership roles across planning, operations, and retirement services.

Today, The Noles Group is supported by a dedicated team that plays an essential role in serving clients every day. Team members such as Evan Girffith, Kende’lyn Thompson, Jack Rivers, and Kim Vivanco help ensure the level of service, communication, and care that clients have come to expect.

The Noles Group leads a network of advisors spanning 10 offices and 21 advisors who collaborate to share resources, experience, and support. This structure allows the firm to maintain the personal relationships of a local practice while offering the depth and stability of a larger organization.

Each brought a distinct strength:

Together, the team developed a structured four-phase planning process:

1. Discovery & Goal Projection
2. Accumulation & Asset Preservation
3. Income & Retirement Planning
4. Legacy & Estate Planning

Quarterly reviews became standard practice — not annual check-ins. Clients were educated on their plans so thoroughly that many could “explain the strategy back” to the advisor.

As the firm grew to serve more than 600 families, it remained intentionally relational. Advisors attend funerals. They visit clients in hospitals. They meet elderly clients at their homes when needed.

One client described how the team handled her father’s passing — meeting with beneficiaries, organizing accounts, and ensuring every detail was managed with care and clarity.

Another client, overwhelmed after the unexpected death of his spouse, described The Noles Group as the place that gave him peace of mind and stability during chaos — his “financial home”.

The firm also expanded its services to include:

Technology was added — client portals, consolidated reporting systems — but never as a replacement for personal service. It was implemented to enhance clarity, not replace connection.

Even as assets grew and the team expanded, the cultural commitment remained:
Clients are never “worked on.”
They are worked with .

The Noles Group was built not merely to manage portfolios but to steward families through retirement, uncertainty, market cycles, loss, growth, and legacy.

Because when financial planning is personal, it becomes permanent.
And when you join The Noles Group, you don’t just hire an advisor.
You hire a financial home.
